[Mk2] [Turbo] intercooler fan packed in, safe to drive?
as the title says really, will the car be ok to drive, i really cant afford another just yet and ive only just got the car on the road after having suspension done and brakes done

It'll be fine as long as you stay off boost.
The intercooler fan only tends to cut in when stood in traffic, so that the intake charge is cool when you set off again and want boost.

However, using boost means you're putting a lot more heat in the system.

so best avoided as temps could get excessively high.

Fine for driving off boost though.

imo, i wouldnt worry.

that fan SUCKS!

it isnt designed so you have a cooler charge, but there to stop heatosak on your IC itself.

imo, i wouldnt worry to much unless it was in the summer or your stuck in very heavy traffic.
