[Mk2] [Generic] Anyone know where I can get some valves?

Post by jon0406 »

I am currently refurbishing a set of wheels for my MR2 and need to source some new valves for them.

I have been told that they are an odd size as they are Japanese and the place that took the tyres off for me doesn't stock them. Have also been in the local motor factors and they didn't have any either.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of these odd size valves? :-k

Wheels are 16" Super Advans.

Any help, info appreciated. :thumleft:

Yes I had the same prob with Racing Harts. If you are talking about the thinner valves I managed to source some off Ebay, about £13, they fit on with nuts and rubber washers but as stated above it's best to have the tyrefitter put some rubber glue around the washer as they do tend to leak.

Cheers for your help guys but am sorted now. :thumleft:

The guy in the tyre fitting place said he could get some for a tenner each but I found a company called Auto4 (01623) 441800 who did them for £2.91 each! They were the all aluminium ones too, not the black plastic type.

I also needed different sizes from front to back too, 6mm rim hole on fronts and around 12mm on the back.
