Are there any guys from the Cambs area going to this? Thought we could go down in convoy?!

Also can anyone explain to me what one of these events is like and what it entails? I've never been 2 one b4! Thanks.

It's a meet up and chat, then a few good long blasts around some fantastic roads, all road legal speeds of course  A few stops and a pub meet.
Anything upto 50 Mr2's, plus some other makes of cars, a great day out!I've been on this for the last 4 years and have never heard a bad report about it :D
I'm sure you will have a great day :D

Are you going meet up at the food place right on the coast like last year in the photo's? , i really don't see that working this year if you are going to have this many cars..

Probably be the same amount of cars as last year.
Never been any problem unless you where planning on eating.
The main thing is the great roads that get us there!
Some of the best roads i have driven on, other than the Isle of Man!

What sort of time do things usually wind down and people go home, just so I can get a picture of the day? 8)

Going to have to give this one a miss, money is too tight to spend it on driving around Kent this year

What with other meets and holiday coming up my funds are being spread too thin.

Have to say, whilst I always accepted Pete doing it in whatever he had on the drive that day (well he does organise it) I think the inclusion of other marques / makes will detract from the previous experiences.

Having said that, I hope its still a good meet, for those going to their first meet, the Kent run is uaually a blinder!
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Hi Ant

Theres a group of us meeting up near to Tunbridge Wells so that we can take a nice cross country route into Ashford. Gotta be better than the M20 O:)

Were meeting at Tesco in Pembury at 10.30am (a few seconds off the A21 at Tunbridge Wells)

In order not to cause problems, the Smarts can do one of two things:

1/ Leave 20 mins later.

or

2/ Run the route in reverse, i.e. we'll go round the circular route the other way!

Some roadsters are modified to give crazy crazy speeds and handling. Mine is definitely quicker than the MK1 that I came in last year (the light blue one, the one that was completely 100% concours, 21 years old and 21,000 miles).

I ran the whole route in the roaster in 1.5 hours late at night.

Shame he won't be there:

I was hoping to make it along to the Kent run tomorrow, but have spent all day working on the MR2 Only Track cars, and Id better spend tomorrow replacing the brakes on the mk2 for Rockingham next weekend, plus Im still without the Turbo as its having a rebuild, and its a 4 1/2 hour trip to the meeting point for me, so dont fancy that in the stripped out mk1 with buckets on my own and no radio!

Hope you all have a great day, looks like the weather is going to be good, please someone get some photos and send them to me at:- [email protected] along with a little write up and we will put it in MR2 Only Magazine. Hopefully next year I will be along in the Turbo :thumleft:

Missed out on so much this year since I broke it

Don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Not gonna finish work til about 7 am then got to get to Kent from Cambs and then drive the route with no sleep!

However if I finish early and get a bit of kip, i'll come down!

This link may take ages to load.

http://gallery.mac.com/iansumuk/100063

You may download any picture(s) in FULL resolution by clicking the download button. They're taken on a 10 megapixel camera, so if you do download a picture you can zoom right in and even identify finger prints in the polish. I like uploading high-res, they're good enough to print in large sizes should you desire to do so.

REMEMBER TO CLICK THROUGH THE PAGES, THERE ARE 80+ PICTURES IN THERE. Sorry, I couldn't take any on the move.

Oh, MR2 Only magazine have my permission to use as they desire. Only you might want to check with the car owners.
