very jerky movement in first and second gear

Post by dinkyboy »

since the last three days when i start the car and put in first , the car moves and the while picking up speed, does it with lot of jerks. this happens in lesser whn in second gear and then when i race her furthur she is fine.

could it be because of tuning or also because of some impurity in the fuel? what else could it be?

Have you changed your ignition components later, ie dizzy cap, rotor arm, plugs and leads etc....?

It might be worth a try as these are a common cause.

i changed the plugs and she as fine for two months. the problem is back. so it rules out the plugs. my mechanic says i need to change the plug leads. which is a good make?
i live in Bombay where i do not have access to good mechanics.
