I'm planning a Nurburgring trip for next summer anyway so I might be interested to be there at the same time with other MR2s. However I would be coming from different direction (north)

Are the dates on track that you are planning 21.6 - 24.6?

We are heading down from the Midlands, we are heading out early hours on Thurs 21st and returning Sunday afternoon the 24th, I had a bargain with Norfolkline Ferries, only £44 return crossing to Dunquerke

If i ever get time off from work i would be up for this..... couldnt make last years due to alloy wheel failure the day before everyone was due to leave!

I am also going Easter (approx dates - 6th to 9th April) if anyone is interested in tagging along for that one too.....?

..and then again people may do a 'fast' time and just keep it to themselves..

PS, Chris... Envious of your upcoming Easter trip, not been back for well over a year now... (Pending house purchase) The Easter opening times look good - but I expect it to be really busy..

Record laps are a source of discussion and disagreement..

..was it a street legal car..

..was it modified by the manufacturer so is it a production model..

..all sorts of arguments particularly when a UK car does a faster time than a German car...

..and some of these times have been done when its a private session so guaranteed no traffic..

..personal times are so dependent on conditions when it is open for 'tourist laps' - traffic, weather, repairs of track as you do laps, accidents - some people are fortunate to have all things in their favour AND have an attitude to risk the car and others in chasing a fast time...

...but you can have a good run on the track if you go early morning and late evening..

..its still dependent on time of year and how much of europe flocks to the place..

..as Paul says Easter is a good time with long w/e opening but likely to be busy so you go for the experience and NOT to get a clear track to allow you to go for a personal best or some other target time..
