[Mk2] [Generic] Retrofitting cruise control

Couldn't take xxxx loads of photos for me could you, I've just picked up and second hand kit and haven't got a clue?

Bolt the bits on, wire it in and hey presto... cruise control

or.. an umbrella on the accel. pedal is a good alternative.

i got cruise control in my porsche and to be honest i never use its, it a proper gimmik for me s before u go takin the car apart think if you drive a lot at night on an empty highway otherwise your never use it

Trust me I'd use it

On the motorway I basically set a speed around 80mph anyway, and never change it unless there's heavy traffic. Just have to anticipate etc...

I do do a few night and early morning journeys to the airport so would be damn useful jut for that.

What parts are needed to retrofit the original cruise control to rev2 turbo? I'm so spoiled by my daily driver that I use cruise control whenever I can and I really like it. I want the same comfort for MR2 too

Plus it also avoids unneccessary speeding tickets.

digging up an old thread here but does anyone have any info on fitting this kit, i have one sitting in my garage for ages and want to fit it, just dont have a clue where to start.

believe i or not i had one fitted on my rev1 g limited, out the factory i would assume.... it would be helpful for you guys to know that it wont allow you to go above 70

just something to think about if you like to travel quickly, otherwise its lovely for thos A roads!!

I had mine set at around 80 leptons on the way after buying it?

You can retro fit it, BLZ-8027 has done it I think. If you have an import with a speedo converter, with a bit of jiggery pokery you can wire it in to the speed signal that's sent to the ECU which means it will work up to 80 instead of cutting out at 50.
