includes all my mods....

but im just wondering, i thought my quote would take a big dive seeing as im 25 in a month, and now 4NCB.......its about £150 cheaper than last year.
(not sure if it makes a difference, but when policy starts im still 24, and 1 week later im 25)

who else is insured on the turbo, with mods around my age and ncb?? what are you paying, and to who?

Next year it will take a dip - wouldn't call it a dive, when you are 25 at the start of your policy.

Depends on what you drive. Insurance on my Pug 405 literally halved when I hit 25. But with modified vehicles all rules are out the window.

If you can possibly do it i'd say don't drive your car for a week, and insure it from you b-day. Insurance companies don't pro-rata these things

You should shop around more. 25yr, 2ncb mods declared. Paying £500. Underwritten by ensign just like the sky policy.

insurance companys dont care about anything apart from themselves,by you still being 24 they wont be giving you the same quote as a 25 year old even though there is just a week in it...elephant quoted me £328 but my monthly instalmant was £53 a month over 10 months...too late for me to complain because id already paid the deposit...one thing though,i`ll never be using them again...turning 25 could cut between 10 and 20 % off your quote so it would save you money if you could wait a week and then shop around...let us know how u get on...
good luck :eye:

I moved to Sky Insurance last July, I'm paying about £121/month for all modifications. I'm 23, 1 YNC and I'd crashed my MR2 the year before.

Make sure you get protected no claims if you can Jim, I had to use mine end of last year - vandalism ](*,)

Also get 'like for like' on your policy so they'll replace your aftermarket parts with the same ones should the worst happen.

Insurance companies crack me up... I'm due to renew mine in 3 weeks. Got a letter through from A-Plan saying my renewal is £820 excess £500 even though it was £720 last year  [-( I'm 26, 10 years NCD, all mods declared inc. Unichip, ebc, wheels etc that aren't on yet, SP30 in '04.

So phoned up Sky first and came away with a quote for £720 excess £350. Phoned A-Plan and said Sky quoted £680 excess £350 and they said they'll match it!! So gonna go back to Sky now and see what they'll do...

Btw, anyone else had a problem trying to get an agreed value policy? I can't get one with A-Plan and Sky say they can only do it if I limit my mileage to 6k... I do about 10k a year. I'd really like to do agreed value because my car nearly got written off last year with only £4k worth of damage!!
