I use Castrol GTX I think its 10W 40... best and smoooooth

I used shell helix plus.Noticed a big difference when i changed the oil.Much smoother afterwards.Not cheap though at 25 quid for a semi synth.

ive always used castrol gtx fully synthetic on all my cars. never done a oil change on my mr2 yet. hoping to today though.
mines a rev1 n/a, how much oil do they take?

I'm using Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 on his recommendation with no problems.

Basically steer away from most of the ones that are readily available from Halfrauds etc. if you have a turbo as they can sheer and lose their lubricating properties because of the high temps in the turbo.
