Just spoken to Trevor at www.tcbperformanceparts.co.uk who sell the Raybrig headlights (part no. FH05) for all AW11 and SW20 revisions. They are street legal and claim to boost 12V 60/55W headlights to 135/125W with clearer multi-reflectional units.
The original price was £39.99 + VAT per headlight (exc. P&P for now)
= £93.98
It is clear they are already at a pretty low price but I managed to persuade him to give £5 off for a pair for a GB (before VAT) so they would now cost:
£88.10 inc. VAT for a set of 2 (saving of £5.88 ).
Re. postage, well its £10 per set or he can send 4 sets together for £10 to the same address. I think the best thing is to state where you live when you note your interest below, and some can be sent to one person who can distribute at an event or others can collect from them, and people who live in no mans land will have to pay for a single delivery etc.
So worst case its going to cost £98.10, assuming no VAT on delivery?
We need 10 names down first, if we got 20 names, he could knock a little bit more off, but not much more. I'll figure out how to deal with payment, hopefully IMOC can take payment as per the HID group buy scheme. If not I could arrange it but would need money in advance - I'll keep you posted...
So, get your names down and place of residence if interested:

Re: Raybrig headlights
i'll take a set, there is a thread i started on this issue on MR2OC which also has got some interest.
i'll also check into prices because the MR2OC had a GB on these a little bit back and i'm sure the prices they got were cheaper than that, by quite a bit IIRC.
i'll dig into it, i can get them from the states to my door for £76 off ebay, coming from japan i'm guessing they will kick up at the same side as the UK lights?

Leeroy, is this Mk1 as well as Mk2? I'm interested depending on finances (though I really need to stop splashing out on the car!!!)...

Does £76 include import duty?

Hmmm, not sure. Its for AW11 and SW20. I'm gonna be really ignorant here, is the AW11 MK1 or 3SFE?

Think it must depend on supplier, he/she are obviously not getting them from TCB...
I'm trying to find out more about their price atm...

Re: Raybrig headlights
Just caught up with this...
Yeah, okay... okay...
In my defence, I'd just finished moving so was in a bit of a state.
Thanks for counting me in though! Guess I'd really better start saving... At least I'll be able to do this at the same time as I do the HID upgrade seeing as one of the other posts in the affiliates section seems to point out that the HID is useless with standard reflectors...
As I'm going for the HID upgrade too, I'm not too worried about bulbs (surely they'd normally still be the standard H4 bulbs anyway so you could just reuse what you have? Thereby reducing the cost of the Raybrig unit...) and would like the clear ones. Although I'd like to save money, I'd like this to be a decent quality unit as I'm only planning on doing this once, so if the unit TCB sells is better quality than the ebay one I'd rather go for that... (As in surely there's a reason TCB ones are significantly more expensive than the others found, apart from his own profit...)
Anyway:
1. Leeroy - Guildford, Surrey
2. Slarty - Barking, Essex.
3. Gary ST165 - Salisbury, Wiltshire

Edit: I've just read the MR2OC thread and they're talking about having to cut away at the headlamp unit to fit the Raybrigs in...
Anyone know if the Mk1s will need to be cut up? As far as I know (based on mine) there are no electric headlamp beam adjusters on the Mk1...

Lamps fit models without electric headlamp beam adjusters. AFAIK its only UK that have this, hence the cutting required.
