Try the BKR7EVX plugs mate, they're the platinum tipped ones. Had mine in for a while now, seem to be working just fine and they last a bit longer than the copper plugs too!

Think i paid £18 for a full set

They're what i've got in, i'll try and dig out the box and see what difference there is

EDIT: Just found out, they're the Iridium version of the bkr7e plugs

But I thought the iridium ones ended IX, so there must be a subtle difference with the VXs?

Running Denso's in mine.... IK22's IIRC.

Not cheap though, at £50 a set. Have lasted well though. I do LOTS of miles and don't want to be replacing plugs every 10 minutes.

BKR7EVX or BCPR7EVX - same thing.
They are basically the same as the BKR7E plugs, but with platinum tips.

I've had no problem using BKR7E plugs for 6000 miles in the past.

BKR8EIX do me fine. you would need bkr7eix though.

stick with ngk - denso, blitz, hks etc irridium fall apart.... not good

Yeh, I might try the VX ones next, my IX ones have been in nearly 20k miles so could do with a change really...

it appears the irridium problem only lies with denso plugs.

I have never seen or heard of an ngk on failing in the way that the denso does.

I just fitted the HKS plugs to my tubby and so far they have been fine, but didnt know about the iridium falling off problem!!!
Is that really just the denso or does that apply to the rest too,coz if so, i might need to change them asap!! [-o<

Quick related Q:

Whats the diff in terms of power, combustion etc of using the recessed head NGK's mentioned compared to the normal ones recommended most of the time?

Also, I read on MR2OC.com that if you're running higher boost u should regap your new plugs to 0.7mm instead of .8 - how do you do this (hammer and feeler gauge?).

Cheers
