[All] [Generic] Bazooka base tube

Post by 2Crooky »

What are peoples experiences with these?? My car is going in for all new audio equipment but instead of a 10 sub in slim lined box i am thinking of having one of these behind the passenger seat!

Any good????

Waste of time in my opinion, although I've never been a fan of bass tubes.

Take up too much room.
Sound at best, ok/poor.
Look naff.

Used to have one behind the passenger seat. Sounded pretty good. Restricted seat movement a lot though.

Spend the money on good fronts, and you won't need it.

I heard one at JAE in the "tango" mk1 with uprated components too and it sounded lurvly. The installers said i can hear what it sounds like linked up with my new components and head unit, and if it is not sufficient i can go another route.

I'm not after a poo load of base, as i have experienced this in the past with 8500Watts in my saxo  Just enough to give the music a little more substance. Small subs are designed to give excellent mid to high range base notes which is what i'm after and i think th bazooka is only 8"

I don't even have the stock subs in the storage compartments so my speakers are pants  A couple of members on here have experienced their awesome power lol!

Get some focal poly kevlar 6.5" comps in the doors, run them on a good amp, and you wont need a sub.

Just had my alpine head unit installed with pioneer tweeters, front and rear door speakers and a bazooka base tube and the sound is unbelievable!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOO much base for only a 6.5" sub, mind you it is 200RMS!

Sound quality is sooo crisp and clean and the bazooka tube compramises no space for the passenger :thumleft: Will get pics up of the install soon....

Cheers bud,

The amount of base is perfect for the 2's cockpit :thumleft: Oh you can turn up the base level on the head unit, and the subwoofer level, not to mention it is only on half power output directly from the sub atm!!!!!

It's got pleanty more to give
