thanks

Not aware that any is used or required they are self sealing the valve is the only location where leaks may occur?
when i had mine refurbed a year and a half ago they used some special sealant and it leaked twice. they tried a standard sealant and its still perfect now.
if your split rims are a 3 piece (like mine) its not just about the sealant but how well, and evenly the bolts are torqued.
Took mine apart today and turns out they don't have a seal as they're two piece rims,so relatively straight forward to put back together, just threadlock the nut and bolts and re-torque them back up
Hi
Anyone got an idea what kind of torque the bolts should be on a 2 piece split rim,as i am thinking of taking my volks apart to respray the centre.
cheers sie

After many hours of searching,I've found out the correct setting for my BBS 2 piece wheels is 25Nm

Thanks guys I have Rays engineering 3 piece, a guy I know said he used normal silicone on his BBS's and just left them on the car in the garage for 3 days to see if they went down and they were Okay.Sounds like a plan. Also made contact with Loctite and they are going to get get back to me regarding pnumatic sealant.
