Alternator change on a non turbo, non ps series 2 1990 MR2.

Just get in there. There's not many bolts to get it out of the bracket but getting the alternator out of the engine bay can be a pain. I had to drop the rear subframe and take the centre of the exhaust off to get a hole big enough!
If you're not handy with a spanner i'd advise getting someone else to do it.

Gotta agree. Just spent most of the weekend doing mine. dropped subframe, exhaust off...
And getting the bloody thing back on is harder than getting it off!!!
At least its done now though.
