Re: xspower vs xxxx downpipe (PICS)
Tim, you're like a maturing wine, you seem to get better with age

I have noticed you're a lot less pushy and not as quick to put others down, good stuff.
I think your sevice is great too, always willing to advise even people who aren't necessarily going to buy your products
- in fact you are pretty much the only person to do this so IMO you deserve to get business, and indeed recommend your products if they suit a member's needs.
Why shouldn't you be able to recommend your own products, you make the effort to come onto the forums so I think you should be able to.
After all, you only stock good products from what I hear, and all reasonably priced.

Good to hear most affiliates are getting on better with one another, there's plenty of space for everyone to play.

Keep up the good work

Re: xspower vs xxxx downpipe (PICS)
thankyou leeroy.

I've made an effort with the other suppliers as i just want an easy life, i can't be doing with stressing out anymore over whos selling what cheaper than this and that.

End of the day with the advice, i'm an mr2 enthusiat long before i'm a business owner.
I remember where i came from and it was all because of you guys so if i can take a few hours out of my day to help people i'm more than happy to do so.

Re: xspower vs xxxx downpipe (PICS)
End of the day there's a good reason why Tim's downpipes cost
£185 and the XS Power costs
£80 or whatever it is
- quality.

I know we aren't all flush with cash but if people really aren't happy with XS Power downpipes then don't buy em!

It's ok that people point out problems with products and is extremely useful but if there is a known issue with a certain product then why do people still buy them and them wonder why they fail?

Just my 2p

he`s been online on several ocasions,at least 4-5 times yesterday that i saw!

Ok Mr Bunny Boiler.

Quantifications?
People still have expectations at either price point one expects an exhaust pipe to last so long tyres so long brake pads so long and so on some people may not be aware of the in's and outs of company choice and or
branding of products. Most people are good who believe most others out
there are also perhaps they have faith and hope too.

These are the only reasons why or how i can understand peoples buying decisions. For example how long might a downpipe be expected to last on
the exhaust system may be as long as the exhaust pipe system it self?
Not sure of the quantification of how long mechanical engineering is meant
to last or for what period of service but the price is only one issue consider
the labour to have a unit fitted then if after a short time needs to be taken off possible repaired and or replaced then the labour to again fit another
unit.

X amount of money is still x of money spent plus y amount of labour and
z being inconvenience when the car is at the garage you have to drive there leave it there make other transport plans then start all over again.

So any product of any price point that lets one down has the xyz effect. So
does a product priced at 50% of the market value price mean it should last approximately half the life? One can get tyres for half the price versus
the expensive units but do they last half the life of the expensive ones?

save your energy for your bazza meets so you can impress the 15 year old petrol sniffing girlies with your lambo doors!

Re: xspower vs xxxx downpipe (PICS)
I bought an XS Intercooler and it was pretty shocking.
The internal fins were loose in places and I refused to fit it to my car.

Can't comment on downpipes as I have never seen one.
I have personally fabricated downpipes and cannot see how it is possible at those prices unless you REALLY mass produce.

Anyway now making my own inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, DP, and boot mount based around a GT30.

I am very scepticle about trusting anyone fabrication wise so go direct to fabricators I trust and do things myself.

I'm not a fan of Tim's but I will say his DP's look ok.
The whole copying thing is just way too confusing, it's hard and I understand why Tim gets frustrated.
I did it for a while but got sick to the teeth of it, I now only do things for friends.

I bought an XS power downpipe and experienced the major production flaws.
All possible angles of the argument have been covered and everyone is now just repeating what has already been stated the last 11 pages!!!!!!!!!!!

Next time read the thread through before you direct a comment at another member!
