ok guys, general feedback seems so far, is the tunnel is preferable, we took the tunnel at peak time in July and it was around £140 return, however we are thinking of going early hours on a thursday morning which may make it cheaper, so we get to Germany in time to enjoy the day.

So far, end of June is looking favourite.

Will get some of the finer details and costs sorted for the end of the week, as said we will provide details and contacts for accommodation, booking info of crossings, and work out an itinerary, including eating at Sabines restaurant (her off Top Gear that ragged the Transit around the ring, also drives one of the BMW M5 ring taxis) but it would be up to the individuals to book and pay for accommodation and crossings.

As I remember it Jon it was you getting a couple of seconds on me on the first lap, the gap was constant on the second and you binned it on the first corner of the 3rd lap when (Quote from Jon "I ran out of talent"), and when I was infront in the dry you could barely keep up.......

PS He adores me really---lol

PPS, on a more serious note I got to the Ring in 7 hours from the east mids, taking ti fairly easy ina Skoda, so its an easy trip if anyone is worrying about the distance etc.

id be interested in this as i was planning on going next year anyway along with going over the alps, down stelvio pass, visit modena then over to monte carlo, over the route napolean and finally back home so if you get some fixed dates together i can look at doing it the same time as you.

i went to lemans last year and with my current bomex bumper i struggled to get on the normal car deck so ended up at the bottom with the lorrys and with my current plans for a new bumper the euro tunnel may be the best bet but i have got coilovers on so worst case is to jack the car up and raise it up alittle before i get on the ferry.

keep us updated.

oh and shouldnt this be in the events section?

Count me in too Steve.

I wanted to go this year, but the car wasn't finished in time, and I would have looked stupid running round there (...and knackered!).

Hey JonB, was me who told Ryan - That'll teach you to flick me the vee's while I was shouting you ;) :P :D

Put me down as a possible for this, as long as it won't clash with LeMans...

MK1 or MK3? Both make much better track cars than the lardy MK2!

Cool 8)

If everyone who has shown interest remains interested this could be an impressive trip, good mix of mk1, mk2s and mk3s too, make a good feature story for the mag with some excellent photos!
