Done a route re-run on sunday night with trd2000mr2 and we found a large area in near the buckinham palace gate where we can hopefully stop off for 5 mins as long as the queen doesnt moan.

Will Post full map and pictures within next couple of days.

Got a reply from westminster london council and inspector of scotland yard police 2day.

Anthony
I have seen your proposal,

provided that all participants have valid driving licences, insurance etc, and all drivers

abide by road traffic regulations etc

no parking where it is not allowed etc etc) we have no real concerns.

Your route may be subject to change depending on what happens on the day, for example if a march or
other protest is notified to us between now and 15th Oct you may be re-routed, but this is unlikely.

I hope you all enjoy the day.

For up to date information about road closures see the Met Police website

and click on

regards
Stuart Cornish
Inspector

New Scotland Yard.

Dear Anthony

I refer to your email below, MR2 Run 15th October.

City of Westminster section

Waterloo Place is booked out by a large film unit to use as their unit base, caravans, catering, dining bus, etc, so is not available.

We have a small march leaving Marble Arch at 1500 hrs, travelling 1/2 way down Park Lane before turning into Mayfair and stopping, two lane closures southbound.

Other than that, as long as you keep to highway code, do not travel as a convoy you should be fine.

Please notify the Metropolitan Police of your event and route and comply with any conditions they may impose

Please drive carefully through L B Brent, I live not to many miles from the Ace Cafe

Simon Pearce

Looks like we have to re-route the pall mall stop off point.

Will post map route up after I find another stop off point this sunday.

Route has been confirmed as shown below and will be showing a pictured man within the week with stop off points and any certain speed limits.

Meetup point at Ace Cafe 12.30pm, Redbridge lot can meet up im assuming 11:30ish and convoy to Ace Cafe?

Leaving Ace cafe and starting the Run at 1pm.

3 stop off points confirmed.

Start Run Ace Cafe
1: Pall Mall car park
2: Tate Gallery
3: Final stop off at Surrey Quays car park for food

I spoke to Steve B on the phone who may make an appearance but with pictures and report write up this is very likely to make an appearance for the MR2 Only magazine.

I took a sample run on monday and this route seems quite good.

This is a provisional route.

Meeting points;

1st Redbridge

2nd Ace Cafe

Hopefully the Essex/Kent/E London lot can convoy over to Ace cafe on the A406 and we can start off from there.

From Ace cafe we head down the A40.

Bayswater road

Park lane

Picadilly

Haymarket

Pall Mall

Back onto Picadilly toward Green Park
Knightsbridge

Embankment

Parliament square

Victoria Embankment
Tower Bridge 20mph!

Across Bermondsey and ending at Surrey Quays where theres a mahoosive car park, with 5 restaurants, bowling, arcades and a few bars.

There are 3 stop off points so people can catch up or if they get lost which are Pall Mall, Tate gallery and ending at Surrey Quays.

Reasons why I aint picked Soho/chinatown/oxord st is due to too many 1 way streets, congestion and traffic lights.

It would break convoys really badly.

Keep posted.

Cmon London IMOC'ers?!! Maybe I might have to do some persuading at the Essex RR.
