Fitting sun roof to an import tin top?

Has anyone tried fitting a sun roof onto a tin top. Is there a strengthening beam in the roof between the windscreen and the rear window?

no.

the idea of hardtop as you might be aware is the strength it offers
to stiffer chassis.

also will look like an na non import.

i dont like this idea at all

Sun roofs are pointless IMHO, especially on the MR2 as it only tilts (no slide).

Mine permantly has the sun shade on to keep the sun out.
Only reason mine gets opened is to help let hot air out (I don't have AC, unlike your import), and to hear my induction kit better

Roof lining may be coming off temporarily in the next few weeks as I've something planned So may have an answer then.

Dont do it mate! It would seem a lot of hardship and pointless IMO. plus it would look like a UK NA as Jap imports never had sunroofs, except an option from Rev 4 onwards I think

Stick with the hardtop

Altough sunroofs aren't as good as the TBars and I wish my pocket would
of allowed me to buy a tintop tubby, stowing the sunroof in the froot when
you know it's going to be sunny all day is pretty good.
