My 92 tubby does so I would assume by the time yours came about it should.

When you turn the ignition on you should get a light with abs come on if you have it.

so did i actually, it was an early one on an "L" plate (had a split rear spoiler and old style rear light assembly)

am i right in thinking that all rev3 have ABS as atandard then?

If you're looking at a 1997 car, that would make it a REV4 model... all of which came with ABS as standard, plus a small number of other changes such as clear front indicators, diamond polished alloys, revised stereo e.t.c.

Power in N/A models was reduced by 5BHP too, not that it really matters on cars of this age though.

Not a real place unfortunately, although you can find some amusing place names here:

All UK rev3's came with ABS as standard.

Dunno about imports though, it wouldn't surprise me if they could specify bits to be omitted from their cars from the factory.

Did they?

I have a rev 3 and it does not seem to have abs (no light on start up) + when braking hard it locks up.

Oh and its a uk model.

According to my 1994 UK Toyota Sports brochure (Celica, Celica GT4 & MR2) - the 'ABS' box is ticked :D

My 1991 rev2 import has ABS. From the books I'm reading it seems that ABS has been an option on imports since the Mk2 was introduced.

Yeah, the Japs have a bizillion options when they order their cars.
To this day Toyota still don't do much in the way of options for UK cars, although it's a lot better now than in the 90s :-k
Just a pity their car lineup isn't as good as the 90s :(

Could be where the ABS has been gone faulty and the previous owner has disconnected the dash light to pass an MOT.... just a possibility by the way.
