I always love ebay add's that start 1990-1995...

mr2 mk2's started in 1989 and rev 3 kicked in late 94.. muppets!!!

Looks like the brackets have been placed in the wrong hole.. the circular part should sit around the strut tower ;)

Sounds like modification time... I can get these to fit pretty quickly, chop a bit here and there, couple of new holes...

Will wait a bit and see if the guy on ebay wants to sort some sort of compensation out though

Oh, and I wouldn't use it if yours is at the end of the studs. It will rip the thread out

The drop down flanges on mine are at an angle too, but you do have the bar in the right place now!! I have about 5mm of thread to play with either end, so far so good but I think benefits are minimal with this type of bar.

The thread catches on the bolts, then you have to twist the bar to pull it tight, not exactly tailor made

Wouldn't mind but think mine was about £40..... :(

Here's a good one....

"In the pictures you have sent you are trying to mount the brackets on the top of the strut..
Thats is not correct - the brackets fit inside the wing
On your picture no2 you need to twist the brackets through 90degree and butt up to the inner wing (inner wing will then need drilling to fit brace)

I hope this helps"

DRILL MY CAR :!: :!:

[-X OH, NO NO NO [-X

 Conned again through fleebay... When will I learn.

under the wing.. hahahaha... its called a strut brace, not an under wing brace!! Surley an "under wing brace" is an anti roll bar ;) hahahaha.. Muppet..

Make your own brackets and fit it flush :)

Especially when this was the first reply....

"Hi Keith,
I can't see your picture, can you send it as an attachment instead?, I have attached a picture of a strut bar fitted to give you an idea of how it should go (not the same but similar). Basically the brackets are designed to fit on the inner part of the inner wing with the std brace left in situ (if fitted)"

Guys,
800BHP.com is my buddie, if your having some problems I will mention it to him, if you want I can get one fitted to my motor so I can see how the things go together, I will let you know the fit etc.

He's on holiday this weekend or so, getting in touch with him probably won't be that easy.

If we ask him he might even do some sort of discount for IMOC memebers, but he's cheap as chips anyway so......

Think perhaps some communication might help.. These guys dont think that the bars correctly.. might just be a case of misinformation.. :)

Do you mean its too long? too short?
Holes in wrong place?
Brackets wrong?

He's a nice fella so will take on-board any comments.

I dont have one i was just trying to help the guys earlier... i think they find that the bar is too short and not enough thread goes into the bracket ends.. also i think they had mounting problems ;)
