What is the correct speed rating for 225/50/15's on a rev 3 turbo??

H or higher. I usually buy Vs for the Mk1.

H is no good on a tubby, needs to be V at least.

Depends how fast you're going to drive it? :lol: :whistle:

I asked this a month or so back and the most common opinion was V as an acceptable minimum. Certainly that's what I'm about to replace my rears with.

Just ordered a pair of toyo t1-r's (225/50/15) for my tubby. V rated aswell. A steal at £63 each, inc fitting!

H rated tyres designed for speeds of up to 130 mph.
V rated = 149 mph
Z = 150 + mph

Legally you must use tyres that meet or surpass the speed rating of the car.

ah, so my tyres are overkill, as mine is still restricted to 180KPH!
