Ok, theres a lad in Shields I've been talking to with an 05 Ferrari F430.
We've had a couple of races, but sometimes when we race I can never get the power down due to my poo driving, and snake/spin the wheels up to 3rd....
Anyway, we had a go the other day off some lights, and I had him all through 1st gear, and 2nd.
He passed me as I was changing into 3rd, he was still in 2nd as he passed, revving all the way to a mighty 10k.
He says he wasn't trying FULLy, but I know he was. Or at least I think so, so what you guys reckon?
I've got a short-ratio gearbox as well, so I change gears quicker than most cars.
Anyone know the specs on these things? I know its a 4.3 V10, but no idea of power output and times.

Re: Me Vs Ferrari 430
Surely the Ferrari guy cant have been trying. 430bhp against 260bhp (or something)?

Well, let's think hard, he may be 100lb or so heavier, he's running 490bhp, can probably see 200mph on the the dial, and has millisecond quick paddle change, launch control et al; I take it you've some good mods

Re: Me Vs Ferrari 430
Easy whitewash to the ferrari.
If you're spinning it in 3rd still then you need some new tyres, i can't even do that and i have 100+bhp more than you.

Thanks for your opinions..
But my mate says he had it in his impreza, and although I don't believe he "had" him as I can have the impreza, he really didn't pull away from me that much until 3rd gear.
And the reason I said he was trying because of the engine note.
At what rev range does the exhaust port open on the rarri's where the note changes?
He was definately hitting 8k+...
Oh well, guess he wasnt trying then lol. But I was defo in front until 2nd, and then he left me after that.
And no idea what my gear ratios are, I just know they're shorter than standard, and I have to change gear before any car ive ever raced lol.

Nope...
Totally standard F430 in red. The owner lives in South Shields.

196mph and 0-60 in 4 seconds by ferraris website, with probably the ultimate in handling performance too. I think youd need alot of power to beat it personally, Its not 100k+ because its just pretty, its built to be rapid and stay on the road, but again, its just a piece of metal without a experienced driver behind the wheel.

But what a piece of metal it would be to have on your drive
