Whats wrong with my HORN!

Post by RyanRs »

My horn worked fine last week... last fri it sounded a lil odd.. now it doenst work at all!! i have checked the horn button, but thats fine, checked the fuse... Fine! Mabe the horn is buggerd?! is there 2 horns at the front by anychance? as i took off the black plastic bit to reveal the rad etc, and i can see what looks like the horn, on the drivers side, but there is another one identical on the left hand too :S

anyone no whats wrong with it , how u remove it and if there is 2 horns? i am thinkin of finding the wire to the horn, cutting it and fitting a horn under the bonnet, like a horn from the scrappie or somethin??

There are 2 horns, one each side. A real sod to remove unless the front nose is off.

Try giving them a few taps with a hammer - this can free them up.

But it could also be the earth connection that's gone - they are earthed through the mounting bolt though, so practically there's not a lot you can do.

I think your idea is a good one though - tap into, or extend the wires and fit another horn somewhere.

Had the same problem with mine, turned out to be the horn relay. Replaced it and worked fine.
