I am back!!!!!

Post by Steve Flynn »

Woo hoo, finally got the tubby back up and running.

Sorry I have been away for so long, it has not been a good couple of months for me. :x

After all the problems changing the turbo, got the car running for 2 weeks when the head gasket blew. 4 days later I was told that the company I worked for were in administration and could I was made redundant. To make matters worse, they could not even pay me the months salary they owed me. This was on top of buying a house as well.

Anyway, bought the house anyway, found a new job, and got the head gasket done on the tubby. The guy who done the gasket had a good look over the engine and the cause of the failure was gunk in the waterways. Completely flushed now and running lovely. The guy said the engine is in amazing condition concidering its 16 years old now.

While the mailfold and turbo were off the car, to be on the safe side we have taken off the rev3 actuator and put the original rev1 actuator back on. I know this has put the boost back down to standard, but with a boost controller I will have a little more control over the boost.

Talking of pasty's, I had the biggest pasty I have ever seen on Monday night. The best bit was that it was free :P Could not even fit it all onto a dinner plate it was that big. \:D/
