Sounds odd to me. The idea of set gain is it's at this point boost controller takes over from the spring in the wastegate.
If anything it should spool quick and give you a potential spike, ha.
You need a nice straight empty road and take a good look at your gauge when out your foot flat to the floor.
The peak feature should also tell you the max boost you hit after the pull.
Ie it shot to 1.4 but then levelled off a 1.2.

on idle its ticking over around -80. i know it should be negative buy should it read -99. i read somewhere it does otherwise a vacuum leak? but i tought anything around -75 was fine?

Upgraded CT26s are reknown for unstable boost.
