they may have not been suitable for your DC2 but that is an entirely different vehicle to be honest, so the comparison is hardly fair.
The other thing to remember tyres are like suspension and wheel choice, its what suits the individual driver.This is why we have different tyres, what works for one person's preferred driving style works differently for someone else.

Otherwise we would all have the same tyres and not have options.


I honestly think most people would admit nowadays that Toyo T1R's are really no good at all, but they are cheap and really that's what matters to most.




Certainly there are a lot of people for example who like tons of grip, so they don't get over the limit and feel safe.





In a similar vein, all those in my class in the sprint championship favour Yoko Advan V105's as over the years we've worked out they are best compromise for a 1A tyre for sprinting, so everyone runs them now, despite trying all the other options, it seems to be the best bet.




Yes the DC2 is a much sharper handling car than an MR2 and I would say you would notice a tyre change more.
