Good question, hopefully been delivered to my unit waiting to be installed. Need to check when I'm there next

No unfortunately not, it's never had one :|
And admittedly I should have fitted one a long time ago!

Anyway good news, took the car to the tuner today and we started taking things out the equation for the misfire, before that we decided to fix the fans once and for all.
I had my doubt about the relay and with no multi meter and not really 100% sure how to test it I decided today was a good day for it. Found a fault somewhere in the live feed but the relay worked, traced it back and bingo.. The cable had heavy corrosion and cores were slightly split from the spade eyelet connector which also had 2 other live cables being fed (1 for cc pump and 1 for fuel pump).
This also pointed to a possibility of my misfire issue, we pulled the 3 cables and used a single thicker core for all of them then split them into the inline fuses which the original cables were connected to.
Switched ignition and voala, the fans work

So we put a few bits back together, took the car a test drive, boosted fine but that wasn't enough for me as the problem only occurred on launch from 1st, so we took the car to private roads and done 3 launches, car felt amazing every time with no issues.

So going back to the issue, Chris suspected heat soak when I first mentioned the problem then sent him the video of the runs I had and was even more convinced. Turns out the charge cooler pump was most likely cutting out under heavy load (ie launch) due to the corroded/slightly split live feed, causing heat soak.

Will keep an eye on it the next few days/weeks to make sure it doesn't occur again but looks very likely it is sorted now

Rear definitely needs pulled and rolled, no idea how it will be with tyres :eye:

Beautiful wheels, but they're far too big, makes it look like a roller skate. That car deserves a set of 17" wheels TE37's, regamasters, advan RG2's, buddy club P1's etc..

Plenty of room if you ever decide to upgrade your brakes 8)

They look really nice wheels, for driving about there will probably be little difference but I would defo get yourself an appropriate set for quarter miles and tracking (if you ever decided to do that). =P~

They were quite costly, purely bought them out of impulse when a friend mentioned them to me, came from overseas

Martin they will only really be for show use, going to try some used tyres on them before I decide whether they are actually too big or not.
I have 5 sets of wheels now, so plenty to choose from for road/drag use :eye:

Rob ive already got the current Image wheels which I plan on selling at some point in the future, also got the Lenso D1R which are going in next couple of weeks and I have the Work Equips which are all 17s, also got the VR GTU which are 16s and are super super light.

My ideal setup would be Equips for road use, Technospeeds for show and hopefully a set of drag wheels (maybe the GTU or a pair of 14/15s for the rear)

Craig they were bought out of impulse but they are definitely bigger than I expected  [/quote]

Whoa whoa I thought 18s was a naughty word on here but 19s was X rated?

Actually I discussed wheels with you a while back in a PM and you said stick with 16s lol

Iv seen a nice set of 18x10s but read too many times that 18s are a no no, especially wider ones

Then you and Martin the 2 most experienced guys with mr2s on this page say it's all systems are go lol

I'm more confused than anyone :eye:

These are show wheels, maybe a bit big (caliper clearance wise) even for show so if I see a set of 18s Technospeeds I'll offer a trade up I think.
I still stand by that, 16s all the way for comfort, but I'm now running 17s which are slightly on the harsh side but I need a good balance because frankly I don't think many 16 splits look good.
Only way I'd run 16s regularly is if they were all black as they don't need to fill as much space as say a polished lip or coloured wheels

Yea my car will be more show than go but most of the shows it will see are down south so comfort is also important

I think I'm gonna stick with the 16s and the low offset will make up for the lack of manliness

Yeah 16s are great, you could get away with 17s on a 40 profile if it's more show and mainly motorway driving :thumleft:

Did you get the RC? :D

Can't find 17s in decent offsets without breaking the bank. Best iv seen for a reasonable price is 9.5 et12

The 16s I'm looking at are 8" et minus 25

Are you going wide body?
Those offsets won't fit otherwise
I have equips 7.5j et22 front and they sit flush :eye:

That colour is spot on, I really think the GT86 should have looked more like the RC. Cracking choice of car :thumleft:
