[Mk2] [Turbo] injectors - high or low impedance

Post by macca84 »

Hi, does anyone know which sard 800cc injectors I should go for for my rev3 turbo? High or low impedance? I don't really understand the difference :?

If you use brown tops you just solder through 5 wires on the resistor pack and hey presto ready to roll.

Are you sure they are high impedance? Because on the following site it has them listed as low, (you have to click on the pictures on the left side of the page)

Are the low impedance ones direct fit then and the high ones need the resistor sorting?

Dan,

Checked my email from the guy I bought them from which said "High", but I see your chart says "low".

Either way they went straight in without any wiring changes that I'm aware of.

And the part nos match.

Mike, I was just wondering as I saw them on the chart a few months back.
But as long as they're direct replacement with no mods all is good.

What sort of power are you running with the 800cc ? and have you just fitted larger injectors and dailed them down for a safety margin?

I fitted a walbro pump and left the std injectors in, drove to the RRoad, removed oe then fitted 800cc injectors pre fitted in my bored out rail, fitted pfc and had car mapped. Car was rich on std inj and walbro!

Spec 1 -
Rev 1 forged lump 9.0cr
272 cams + wheels, de-kat, 2.5" single box sytem, cone filter, tt175 turbo, 800cc injectors, 3' x 8" x 8" I/C, 380bhp.

Spec 2 -
As above but with rev 3 head and 7.2cr pistons, re-map gave 410-420bhp

I dont know what % the injectors are flowing. Turbo on both set-ups 1.5 bar.
