Air con removed fans constantly on

Post by grainge231 »

Hi guys so I posted earlier in the week about removing my AC. It's now out the car but I found a plug in the frunk that when removed from the ac makes the fans turn on as soon as the ignition. Is it just a case of bridging this plug? Or is that sketchy as f**k?

You have to leave the air con ecu plugged in.

That's what the plug in the frunk goes to right?

Aircon pressure switch in the frunk must still be connected too.

You could. I just took the sensor out of the pipework and left the electrical connection without the pipework :thumleft:

I fitted the bypass

Then decided to extend the wires and add a switch in, positioned on the dash so I have an extra fan I can switch on if I ever want to

I then tried fitting this under the dash instead of the air con ecu

But found the fans ran again so had to fit the ecu back in

Still removed the aircon and fitted the non aircon one (on left)
