Getting rather tired of this now...hot or cold there is a misfire at idle every second or two...totally random timeing so I don't think it's a constant miss on a clyinder if you catch my drift. I've replaced the plugs, leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, and the coil and I still have this issue....my patience is wearing thin as the mechanic I go to seem to be taking the p1$$ a bit...anyhow any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rough idle
Can you stick some spark plug jumpers on top of the plugs and see when it appears again if you can see which one isn't lighting up?
Could also be an injector fault...

Something that may have gone unlooked is the spark plug gap and what spark plugs are they, if there the ones with the three electro arms get rid of them.
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rough idle
I agree with what the others are saying check for spark on all plugs check the gaps and check for fuel if you pull the main lead off the dizzy and turn it over check to see if you plugs are wet also check simple things like all the leads are clicked on properly I would expect a mechanic to have done this already tho but you never no

Could be leaking injector. I had the same issue on a focus, had me stumped for a day
