Has anyone bought one of these or has a better alternative?

Yeah I did, my advice is don't do it

Made everything feel sh!t, I kept the blue plate and use a rev 3+ shifter instead of my old rev2 one :thumleft:

Mine came fitted with one of these, it's now in the bin replaced with a stock shifter. My advice don't bother, the stock shifter is a lot smoother.

Yup got one, fitted it, never had any problems. Throw is shorter, easy enough to fit.

From memory, the stick itself grinded against the blue plate and was maybe tough to get into 1st sometimes because of this (it was over a year ago I had mine). It did make getting into reverse easier (the normal shifter has trouble with this).

The DIY approach is probably best.
