(Topgun) back in October 2009...I saw scope for making it even more original.
Well this is exactly the case - There are two number 1's. I'm guessing the first number one was a prototype, the second number one being the first car converted for a customer. That makes sense to me. Although she would not send a letter she did confirm from her records that my chassis number SW20-0084047 was converted at the TRD factory.

I spent ages pondering what to do. I did some measuring and calculations to try and work out the offsets but the number I came up with didn't match anything on the list I have.
I managed to source genuine TRD anti roll bars and TRD lowering springs from the USA. I had them delivered to a mate in NYC. When I went over for a holiday I took an extra case and managed to sneak them back. Then I sent the car off to Owen at Kent Car Craft to have them installed. Owen did a great job and also carried out the following:- Replaced front discs and calipers with second hand reconditioned items- All calipers repainted red- Installed new steering rack gaiters- Replaced OSF steering arm due to excessive free play- Numerous leaks in exhaust system examined and repaired- Removed Japspeed exhaust and replaced temporarily with Blueflame and decat pipe- Replaced clutch - Fabricated stainless steel manifold cover- Repair weld carried out to one of the shockers- Installed chrome TRD front strut brace- Serviced and MOT'd

(headcase) for some TLC. I tore a bit of the rear bumper off whilst reversing into my garage. The front bumper had also been cracked due to the car being so low. There were a few other bits n pieces with the bodywork that I was unhappy about. More importantly this is going with the theme of taking it back to the original. The Ferrari Rosso Corsa was nice, but wasn't Toyota. The front and rear bumpers had a lot of old paint on them and he had to strip them right back. TRD exhaust painted black as per original spec and fitted.

It's hard to tell the difference in the photo, but in real life the Ferrari Red is very orange whereas the Toyota Red is red 
They looked cool but I had Patrick remove them in favour of stock, initially because I thought they wouldn't fit with the Alumi K's. As it turned out, they would have fit with spacers. Doh! Anyway, the clamp test at MOT showed that the stock setup held tighter. Happy with that. CRN discs and EBC yellowstuff pads all round.
Harnesses went in with brackets on the firewall. Not the exact harnesses from the TRD catalogue but same make and very similar. I put his stock parts back in my TRD. It has to be original! Also managed to get some second hand alcantara doorcards.

- even the interior paint was returned to a matte finish, just like they do it in the factory.

I've actually installed that exhaust onto the TRD as the TRD exhaust is meant for a turbo so is far too loud with my n/a. I intend to get the TRD exhaust re-baffled.I now officially hate you after seeing this and your v6.

It's apparently a Tom's race engine. Very unique 2.2 litre 3SGE with stroker kit. Much faster than a standard NA.RedMR² wrote:Yeah, read that somewhere that the na TRD cars had a 2.2 litre engine.
#0001 is the only genuine TRD NA that I know of. Not as bad as lexus rear lights by any stretch but makes a difference. I know you had them on previously.
