where are you based? that may be a start.

I can chime in with saying, having seen a map done by THOR, I wouldn't let them program my tomtom, never mind an ECU

no idea if thor are bust tbh, I don't really keep up to date with that sort of thing.

I've had good experiences with Jamie Lumley @ Evotune in Durham, he's mapped a few big power 3sgte's on power FC so knows what he's doing.

what is your current engine spec?

sounds good!

I'm interested to see how you get on with the NA cams, are they uk rev 5 or BEAMS cams? did you use the 1ZZ cam followers or the original shim under bucket followers?

have you hooked up the water lines to the wastegate? I considered one of these myself but when I spoke to people about them (Jamie @ evotune actually, they had an evo 8 with one getting built up on their lift while I was there) I've been told they never bother running water through them as they work fine without it and the heat they put into the cooling system isn't desirable

I just shimmed it with the original under bucket shims, they are uk cams from a standard 3sge

The water lines are indeed hooked up as per Tial recommendations/design, and all seems fine so far.

If your willing to travel north of the border then Russ at HQ garage will do a top job. He done mine and made a top job. The power fc is the first ecu he worked on ao he knows them inside out.

He will let you watch everything he does and is very careful and considerate.

At £100 an hour it sounds expensive but he took 3 hours to do mine including all the light throttle and cruising stuff. So if someone who charges 60 might take 5 hours it will cost the same.

I'm wondering that nobody mentioned him before. He is a genious. Just search for his Name here on imoc for example and you will find lots of interesting thread.

edit: seems I should read posts till the end first ](*,) Ryan is a top man and I think would wait for him
