If you plan on keeping the car long term i would recommend just buying new seals, it is just a matter of time before it starts leaking elsewhere :thumleft:

Up to you, it will continue to perish though. I used silicon and it greatly reduced the drips.
Over the years though i have had quite a few leaking T-bars, knowing what i know now i would definitely just bite the bullet, just for the piece of mind would be worth it, keeping the car dry even more so...

Same problem but mine leak from the corners and I have faint wind noise coming through them from somewhere!

Defintiely chaning all the seals before the end of summer but didnt realise how expensive they are - never had a leaky t-bar before I was lucky with my last one!

Small outlay for seals that are the best part of 20 years old!

Totally agree and it will be money well spent - I just never got round to pricing them up so came into this thread with "how expensive can they possibly be approach". I havent checked my panel seals but the seals on the car are definitely shot you tell just by looking at them!

I got my seals from http://parts.toyotaofdallas.com/ a lot cheaper than buying in this country and as they put four separate receipts in I only got charged a few pounds import tax (as they went by the top one)
Part numbers for the four seals are
Roof
63628-17022 WEATHERST 231A
63627-17022 WEATHERST 231A
T-bar to door window
62382-17051 WEATHERST 058E
62381-17051 WEATHERST 058E

I'd be inclined to remove the seal and look for rot in the metal under it if it's leaking through the light, there's no other way water could get to that point.
I'm in the process of restoring my rev 3 tbar and the roof needed some attention with a welder.
