[Mk2] [Turbo] Meister Zeta R Coil Overs - REV 1 Turbo Problems

Post by pilotmike17 »

Hi,

I am new to the forum and MR2 ownership and recently purchased a Rev 1 Turbo to restore.

I have just fitted some Meister Zeta R coil overs to cure the knackered suspension that was previously on the car. I wanted to know if anyone has the Zeta R's currently installed and could advise on your ride heights and settings for everyday use as a bench mark?

I have some issues with the car if anyone can advise, the steering is very light at all speeds but i am not sure if this is normal having never owned one before? The car also sways to the left violently when under acceleration and when you lift off?

There is also a single clunk sound from the rear wheels when i start to move from a standstill?

If anyone could provide some advice on the above i would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers

Mike

Stick the ride height and stiffness on medium and go and get a full geo setup done by a professional company - it'll make night and day difference to how it drives!

Thanks, will this help with the swaying at the back or do you think i may need to change the anti roll bars and bushes due to them being 25 years old!

Unless they are so perished they are cracked and falling off I wouldn't bother. Just get the geo done then work out the next steps after that if needed.
