Advans look great! The car is certainly more stripped than a stripped thing.

Well blyton was awesome..
good run out..

As susspected though the 11 year old track tyres on the front i took for testing were knackered, hard as wood, and inevitable ended in an off

(about mid way through)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOW1kdP1dd8

then swapped to road tires.. after an initial 90mph spin when warming them on first lap they were "fine" but nothing like the grip when i had the r888 on the back..
so will be great with new track rubber all round..

here is final run of day on road "fullrun  " tires

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyPFs9LcT5E

and one for a laugh i sat for quite a few laps (before his door swung open) behind Frank and his stripped merc.. (with throttle bodies) such a funny car to watch on track

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5eF5CzI5VQ

had couple other little issues, one was drop link onto coilover came slightly loose, sorted that and alternator belt needed tightening.. and that was idea of the day get a feel for the car again and iron out any faults

but it was awesome.. seating position soo much better now its lower, and its lots louder.. will hopefully see at snet that is quicker too

Vids look fun, as does frank's Merc! I know the fronts were knackered, but how did it launch with the R888s on the rear? Clutch OK?

Yeah it seemed fine on the back.. R888s loads more grip than road tires.. But they still felt old so new tires should be awesome.. And the spun on line as cold so seemed fine on the clutch time will tell with that I thinks

Well, for comparison here's my old SC round the same corner last year:

Image

I was running Whiteline ARBs and shocks/springs slightly stiffer than stock.

I'd say Pete's is pretty damn flat :thumleft:

As kuhmo were out of stock on soft rears I was running on medium rears.. Which isn't great for sprinting.. And it was their error...they phoned yesterday saying they had done they were sending next day..
So today I change the rears for softs and its cost me no more and all I gotta do is tell them the mediums are ready for pick up.. Job done...

So now very happy as have softs all round all sorted out by the wife and protyre and kuhmo

Woohoo roll on sunday

But did come away with a trophy and i have moved from 26th last year to 15th this year overall at the same course.. beating a lot of people i was no where near last year.. but its very hard to tell as was sooo wet
car felt brilliant..(just a little slippy)
