Got my car back from the bodyshop!

Post by killerferret666 »

May not be a mk2 but the spirit of it is a Mk2

Got it back after 6 / 7 weeks I need to fit mesh and other bits like 2nd mirror etc... but it gives you the idea of the finished car. Only words I have is ignore exhaust pipe it will be changed!

I'm very happy with work they've done, after all the whole car is fibreglass including the whole door.

Picture Heavy!!

Really nice, black wheels and the carbon fiber set it off perfectly. Have you worked out the curb wieght will be?

Saves me typing a load of stuff out. Costs for what the car looks like I cant complain. I have no idea how much to insure it for though

Gorgeous car - I can't imagine how much effort it is, it's taking me long enough to swap a turbo out on a Supra, let alone building a car from the ground up.

Something to be proud of for sure. :thumleft:

Cheers everyone. Effort was high about 650hrs so far and I'm going to redo the interior so time will only grow! But now I'm at this stage I think it was worth it and especially to be the first customer in the world to complete one.

Essence of an MR2

Post by cosmos »

A truly stunning example in the spirit of an MR2 mid engine layout, lovin the candy apple type colour which reflects the quality of the entire project. My initial thoughts are leaning to a Gordon Murray design from a famous Marque based in Woking, great to see thanks.

Ohhhhhhh yes I think so. Awesome.

I'm keen to see how the interior turns out too. And get a listen to it!
