oiled air filters

Post by drunknmunky »

hi all,
thinking of buying a k&n, but reading about oiled air filters affecting maf sensors. Has anyone actually had a problem with their sensor breaking, or just heard stories?

I think the issue arises when people use too much oil when reoiling them, they don't need much. is it for an n/a or turbo?

no issues, as said above its if you re-oil them too heavily - and we are talking soaking the things, light mist is all they need and chances are you wont need to do it in its lifetime unless your doing 10k plus per year (do it at 20ish)
