i just put Vaseline round all my seals! absolutely fine now, and anyone on here who knows me would tell you that it used to p**s through my roof.

doesn't Vaseline rot the rubber after a while?

Not that i am aware of,
its just petroleum jelly! I have never had a problem!! Its the best modification i have done!!;)

After some googling, vaseline eats away at latex which is found in some rubber, silicone based rubber is ok, which most window/door seals are made from!

Vaseline will provide you with a short term improvement, but it will accelerate the perishing of the rubber.
Not a good idea to use it.
