[Mk2] [NA] Help! Gauge cluster lights not working

Hi

The speedo,rev,battery,tank,temp is working as they should but the backlighting is not functioning.
Also the lamps for some of the heatcontrollpanel are not lit up

Checked all of the fuses at the rear,front and by the driver and they are ok.
i have the lightdimmer in this car and it has + on 1 of the 3 wires ( i guess the other 2 are for ground?)

Are the lamps in the cluster serialconnected so if one goes bad then the others dont work?

Could just be blown bulbs. Speedo back lights are not serial connected. You can have one out with the other 3 working.

There are 4 back lights in total.

Heater illumination are also filament type bulbs (2 of) with a light spreader.

All twist lock holders.

I hope it is the bulbs, would be a "easy" fix
gonna change them and hope it works
