Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Stupid question but arent the rev2 onwards leads the same size? I noticed that mr2ben doesnt sell rev3 trd leads.
Is the only difference the plastic tidy thing? If I dont have that at the moment would the rev2 trd ones work on a rev3? I currently have a set of jdm ultra leads, but I have a feeling they are pretty damn old.
yes they will mate as i had them on my old rev5 but somehow they were in the trunking too ?
what i want to know is will turbo ngk leads fit my rev5 n/a and what mm do i need ??? anyone
Oh yeah I meant turbo leads, looking at the NGK turbo leads the fitment is the same for rev2/3
So does that mean the turbo rev2 trd leads would work on a rev3
Is anyone able to confirm if Turbo and N/A leads are the same? Toyota wanted £148 of my hard earned pounds for OEM and I would rather not pay that much.
Thanks

Plenty of options for Denso and NGK leads at a decent price which I'd be happy to use but they're all for turbo.
this is the problem
GTS Chris told me the ngk leads will fit but they have to gu under the inlet manifold and are a nightmare so thats why he lists them as turbo only
as said the trd 1's were also marked as the same too small but i had them on my rev5 and they fitted in the plastic trunking somehow

Surely removing the trunking and feeding them under the branches of the manifold isn't too big a deal? Is the length the only difference between turbo and N/A leads?
I have KV85s (Red Magnecors) on the ST202, they've been on it for a couple of years now and no serious issues.
Only niggle is the king lead is a little short for my liking, a bit more slack would be nice. Oh and don't use them with Champion plugs, they clip on EXTREMELY well and are a PITA to get off again.
ive just bought the trd leads from mr2-ben today which i know fit and as ive ordered dizzy coil pack and plugs from him too it should be all ok hopefully
A while ago I bought 'TRD Performance HT ignition leads Toyota MR2 mk2 2.0L SW20 3SGE 3SGTE rev2' and the leads are to short for my Rev 5 NA *whoops*
I'm currently looking at the one below, it say its MR2 Turbo 3SGTE Rev2-5, and my is an NA, not sure will it be the right fit? www.gtschris.com/store/comersus_viewIte ... roduct=150
Please can anyone give me advice. I don't want to buy another lead that is to short / incorrect lol.
and also looking to get dizzy cap www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271771384326?_trksid ... EBIDX%3AIT
Ok I have spent countless hours over the weekend to find ignition leads for my Rev 5 and it seems like a lot of the HT leads displayed on ebay and other website are way to short.
I guess the short leads are used for REV1 and REV2?
Anyone can recommend me the leads I need that is long enough for a REV 5?
