which heat sheild? the bulkhead ones or the exhaust manifold?

the exhaust manifold and turbo ones are easy.

the bulkhead one is more difficult, there's 3 (i think) bolts in the small one which comes off easily then there's 3 or so in the big one - the big one can be removed with the turbo in place but you'll need to remove the inlet pipe from the turbo, pull the heat shield up vertically and towards the passenger side of the car, give it a good tug and wiggle and it'll come out - they get caught on the shifter cable bracket.
