Well that depends on the spec of your car and whether you want it to run right or not

Will it affect the drivability?
I'm new to MR2s, managed to break this almost immediately after owning it, I've bypassed it for now but not sure if I should be actively hunting a replacement as the car is running. It's pretty much standard, exhaust, air filter, manual boost controller
