Running rich after new exhaust install

Post by Red Wedge »

I've recently had a mongoose exhaust fitted by my friendly local garage and the car has been running really rich ever since it came back.

You can smell how much it's over fueling and my economy has dropped right off, having been decent prior to that.

Any suggestions on where to check first? I'm at a loss.

Thanks!

Was any work done in the engine bay at the time? 1st thing I'd check would be that all the sensors are still plugged in, I've had similar when I forgot to plug the air temp sensor back in. 8-[

Run a diagnostic check while you're at it.

They had a poke around to look for the source of an oil leak but no other work was done on the engine.

I'll check all the sensors when I get home tonight.

Thanks mate.
