[Mk2] [Turbo] any one want to pull their switches off

Post by gerbil1028 »

Hi all,

Trying to find what's wrong with my elec windows and want to check wiring.

Can someone pull the panel out and test the wires and report back the wire colours and readings for me to compare too.

Although it's taken us a week of txt messages and conversations to get sorted, i'm glad you got your windows working correctly.

These electrical problems can be a real PITA sometimes.

Especially when you've got a fuse missing. :mrgreen:

Easy to overlook the simple answer whilst looking for a difficult one.

Haha lol, I remember one of my massive howlers .. I had hooked up a system madbasshunter would have been proud of.. two very large amps + 18" sub, two 10's , 6/9's + 4x 6" components including tweeters and power caps.

It was very late, fitted the main power cable, turned on the head unit, screen popped out and............ nothing :cry:

Spent 10 mins cheaking everything over and huh it was all ok .. then thought I will continuity test the main live fuse.

It was 21:00 and pich black touch on my head I noticed I had hooked the main live to the ground terminal #-o #-o .

Beat that for a brainfade moment =;

I've taken a flat battery that was new but I'd left the interior lights on for a few days and rcharged it on the wrong terminals. Couldn't attempt to refit it as it was possible that it could fry the looms. #-o
