[Mk2] [Turbo] Red oil warning light!!!

Post by Turbo tibble »

Wondering if anyone can shed some light this for me, my red oil warning light comes on when I am driving at normal motorway speed, I have changed the switch and oil pressure is bang on what it should be (60psi at about 3000rpm) I am struggling to find the cause now, any ideas??

It's a rev1 by the way

You are reading the pressure from the same place as the pressure switch?

No, I have the pressure gauge plumbed into a sandwich plate at the oil filter, previous to getting the gauge I have checked it where the switch is and it seemed fine there too

You may have pressure at the sandwich plate as it it just by the pump but you may not have pressure up in the head where the switch is.
