Thought it time to refurb the original JDM Rev5 standard alloys.

Went for a Shadow Chrome 2 finish which almost matches the centre caps.
They tend to look very dark in the sun with reflective highlights showing off the original design so much better.

That color looks amazing on these wheels, might have to do mine that color when I can afford a refurb. Mine are a gloss black currently which the previous owner had done, but that shadow chrome really highlights the wheel design while still having a nice contrast and a bit of a darkness to it. Looks good

How much did this cost out of interest?

Is that a paint finish? That would look good on my Advan barrels...

Yes Black Chrome II they call it. The inside of the rim is gloss black.

So I suppose the treatment is black first then 2 light coats of silver then lacquered to give the full effect.

REALLY like these!!

Is it "Shadow Chrome 2" or "Black Chrome 2"? You called it both? I'm dropping my wheels off to be refinished tomorrow, and would like to see if they can refinish them in that color.

How's the black paint on the barrel holding up?

I've never liked Rev 5 wheels, till now! The blackened chrome really adds depth to the contours.
