Being a dumbo i bought a set of turbo BISLIN suspension 2nd hand
went to fit ON TO THE CAR realise the right IS COOKED
The guy i bought them from done me over.
any way my options are now to find drivers side black bislin
or
can i buy just one new yellow bislin or is that a big NO NO
i am new to mr2 so please those of you with experience what should do

Go look in for sale im sure someone will have a black bilstein for sale you can buy.
It wouldn't make sense to buy 1 yellow and have 3 different.

The black and yellow Bilstein shock absorbers have different dampening characteristics, it'd be very dangerous to have mismatched dampers left and right.

Best practice is always to replace dampers as a matched axle pair.
a. They'll have significant wear on one unit (very significant wear if they've seen over 40k miles) if you don't.
b. You'll not know whether the manufacturer has changed spec in the meantime.
This applies to anything, let alone an MR2!

If you're going to buy new dampers I wouldn't match yellow with black as they have different rates. Either wait around for someone in forsale to sell a front pair of shocks which come up quite often. I sold a whole set not long ago.
Or get a full set of yellows.
