It would all depends on the width of your wheels and ofcourse the offsets

Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
What's reccomended as far as wheels go then?
Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
Generally a 9" wheels is as big as you'd want to go. If you've got rolled arches you should be able to get a 255 tyre on there. You want a ET35 offset.

Many thanks.

He has 19x12.5 on the back of that. And your definition of 'fit'.

Gazza, that is absolutely fecking stunning!
I'm not looking for anything as extreme, just arches rolled and widened to accept the biggest possible rubber front and back. Coilovers will be a must.
Must be a rev 3 for the revised rear geometry and lsd however.
Anything that's mechanically sound as I'm wil long to replace brakes, suspension. Bushes and ancillaries.
T-bar and leather would be a bonus however.

Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
rear - 9x17 ET35 255x40 on rolled arches no rubbing stock height on yellow bilsteins. Fronts, weak 8 x 17 ET35 215x40 no arch roll no rubbing
Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
Would 18x9 ET40 Fit the rears? assuming 245/45/18 tyre?
Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
I've got 9.5 x 17" rims with 255/40 tyres on the back - on a widebody.(fiberglass arches)
There is truck loads of width space but the issue is O/A diameter (25")- there's less than an inch clearance but it doesn't rub. There is no 35 profile 17" rubber on the market to reduce the diameter so that is what limits the maximum tyre width.
Fronts are currently 215/45 on 8.5" rims which are way too stretched - I'll change to 235/40 when budget permits which hopefully improves my stopping power too!

The best handling setup is the Rev 1, not Rev 2,3 etc.

Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
ive got
et24 9j on the rear
245/40/17
et20! 8j on the front.
there is no reason to go higher than a 40.
so question is either 245/255 at the rear on 9s.

This is because of the camber control
Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
I have definitely seen someone get 285's (not sure of sidewall height) on the rear with standard rolled arches. A while back so honestly couldn't say how it was achieved.
That car in the link looks gash IMO by the way. Totally useless as a road vehicle to boot. I really do not understand why anyone would want their rims sticking out in the air away from the tyres and the wheels rubbing on the bodywork.
Saw a guy at my local petrol station in an E46 estate done up like that. He didn't even make it off the forecourt without grinding the xxxx out of various parts of his car. Good luck with the speed ramps down the road mate!

What width/offset and tyre size for the fronts?
Re: Largest tyres on a rev3 turbo 17" arches rolled
I've got 275's on the back of mine, arches aren't rolled. It's a 17" wheel, not sure width, I'll take a look tonight if I remember.
