i really should eh? been on there loads too!!! ach, I'm totally skint just now anyway, the bodywork has run into much more than initially planned, my lenso D1Rs are in for refurb as well plus i've just spent near £300 on the spacers, i'll run them for a while and get new wheels over winter :(

ok, had a wee look on the driftworks site, the closest to a perfect fot i can get is 12" wide but with an offset of 20, or, 10" with an offset of 12. what to do???

can also get 11" wide with an offset of 8 :-k :-k

this is the correct wheel size for the kit Martin :thumleft:

how do you even find a full set of wheels these sizes?? I reckon i'm gonna have to buy 2 at a time, also, replacing the rubber on a 12" wide tyre makes me shudder :pale:

Not sure where you got those sizes from, but if it was direct from me then there has been some info lost somewhere along the way. That looks like my wheel sizes but I would never have said it was correct!! The 18 at the front will catch inside without work on arch when turning . I needed 18s as my brakes wouldn't fit under 17" wheels, the abflug drag car had 17s up front 18s at rear, different specs to mine.
Best to wait to have car with stock offset wheels on and measure out to where u want your wheels to be when kit is finished.

from shahids ebay page mate,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REDUCED-MR2-T ... 35da60c467

I was thinking of going 18" on the rear and 17" on the front. :-k :-k

got any pics of the abflug car??

EDIT:Scratch that, checked your garage :thumleft:

Image

what size/width/offset are these?? i'd like mine to sit a bit more flush than this, but this is still very mean look

Oh right, he must have got the specs of my wheels, didn't realize he was putting them on his add for a recommendation, the ones in the picture are a 10" rear , not sure on front but I think its an 8". a 9.5 will not go on the front unless you want the face further out like when doing a tyre stretch, there are issues when turning the wheel. Think the inner part of wheel rim position on full lock and inside of arch making contact.

I was talking about the ones in the ebay add, those above are mine 18x12 + 18x9.5

Yeah thats sort of why I am mentioning it with regard to the fronts. That wide can't sit flush, hellaflush was wot I was going for with a tyrestretch.

hmmm, I could probably go a bit narrower on the front then, they don't have to be super wide as long as I get the offset right, thanks for the info mate, very useful, driftworks sell individual wheels so I think I might buy 1 wheel each month until I have 4

also, tyres are soooo expensive at these insane widths!!!

oh, what's the offsets as well??

Not seen it myself but apparently the cars stance is pretty mean looking with the spacers and kit on, not even going to try and guess when it'll be complete but work is well underway now :)

I assume just kitted, he said to me he's aiming for the 3rd of september but it was originally meant to be june, then july, then august. So who knows :(
