Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Hi All,
I was thinking of buying the border kit for the mr2 but I had a few questions first.
What are people's general opinion on the kit (way it looks etc)
How easy is the fitting for the kit? How do you attach side skirts etc?
Ever caused anyone any problems with anything on it?
does mr2ben sell the genuine kit or are they reps?
tom
Here's a pic of mine, border side skirts and rear spats:
Spats bonded/screwed on, sideskirts attached with screws.
As above, I personally think it's one of the nicest bodykits for a MK2, but all down to personal opinion.

Looks lovely. Did you fit the kit yourself? Where did you buy it from? I was thinking of getting mine from Aerokits or MR2ben?

Sideskirts were from Replikit off Ebay, who I believe are now trading as Aerokit? The rear spats were also off Ebay, although not from Replikit.
Both the side skirts and rear spats are copies, and both needed a small bit of fettling to get them to fit properly.(gamble you take with copies)
The kit was fitted by Peter Gidden @ Sbits.

Don't mean to be too nosey but do you mind telling me how much it cost to get it sprayed and fitted? Can always PM me if you don't want to say on here. If not not to worry!

You could always ask one of the Jap car importers to slip it into one of their containers for you.........
The border kit never really floated my boat until I saw a black one fully kitted at JAE 2 years ago and it blew me away.
If I hadn't gone widebody I would definately have gone with Border. Go for it matey.
